I love this idea!
The “Roots for the Journey” worship album has created a free mobile app (iOS and Android) as a companion resource targeted to kids. So, while you’re jamming-out to your music all day and you’re kids are soaking it up–whether you mean for them to or not–this mobile app is a great way to bridge the gap and make a connection!
“Through devotions, conversations, prayers and activities, parents have a new tool at their fingertips to help spiritually encourage their kids.”
Here’s a closer look at this app built by ROAR:
Roots for the Journey App
Yancy had this to say about her free app:
“Parents have the right intentions of helping their children learn about Jesus. Life gets busy and complicated and sometimes they just need a little extra help getting the job done. I love that through this app there are so many different ways the parents can teach, talk about, and do something related to each theme and verse. The app makes it portable so whether you’re at home, out to eat or on vacation you can connect with your kids to teach them the truth of God’s Word.”
True!

This is such a cool and fun idea. I hope more music artists consider doing this. Creating a complimentary content like this really helps extend the meaning and power of music.
You can download it for both the iPhone, iPad and Android the Roots for the Journey album on iTunes.
