If you have not been on Facebook recently, they are celebrating their 10th year anniversary as an organization from launching to today. One of the big promotions of this milestone is a video compilation of the best parts (or what Facebook’s algorithms believes is your best) of what is going on in your life. The site already has grabbed photos and status updates from the beginning of your engagement on the network until now, in a nice little cookie cutter video for you to watch and share.
Tripp and Tyler, famous Christian comedians that have found success on YouTube, have made a parody of this Facebook anniversary compilation video with a little more honesty than Facebook might want:
An Honest Facebook Movie

What does your Facebook compilation video feature?
Is it an accurate retelling of you over the past 10 years?
Brian James says
Great parody. Or is it? Parody, I mean. Just enough elements in it that are true! But that is precisely why we need true followers of Christ on Facebook being real. Jesus is real, and “the way, the truth, and the life” is most clearly seen when we choose to live open, honest, authentic lives that are reflected in our Facebook and other social networking posts. The problem isn’t so much with our Facebook posts. It is with the quality of our spiritual lives. The former merely reflects the latter. Here’s hoping that more people who have truly experienced the wonder of the gospel will get on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
