I love Christmas lights. Now, I know they aren’t the most foundational element of Christmas (especially from a theological standpoint) but they are so simple and fun.
Whether or not you share my partial obsession for crazy yard Santas and Igloos, I think that this video will bring a smile to your face.

If I saw this in person today, I would freak out, and this guy pulled it off nearly a decade ago! From the description and comments, it seems like he now does a display for his entire city and his house even made it into a commercial at one point.
Since my family (whom I love very much) only put up one string of icicle lights and a crazy chili ristra (like this) – there is something magical to seeing someone put so much effort into a project that merely exists to create joy.

We have a church member who does this type of thing every year at his house. I’ll try to take video this year if I can.

The team at our local church lights up for Christmas with a 3-story Christmas drive-in light show with live musicians in the windows. Enjoy the link.

I love it! Live musicians take this whole idea to the next level! I have always wanted a church to do a crazy awesome Christmas light show – I think it’s a fun way to serve the community.
