The Internet isn’t going anywhere. As innovation, whatever that is, continues, it is how we use it that will keep changing. The challenge for churches and organizations is navigating the ever-shifting landscape. One of the areas the Internet changed how we communicate was through email. Blogs then came in. So much has changed in the blogosphere that has affected engagement. For churches that blogged, it might be time to rethink email. I’d like to suggest that making a shift back from blogging to email might make sense for some churches.
For years, I was the church sound person.* Now, I’m a staff pastor. I feel like this gives me a helpful perspective on church tech, having seen it from the inside and now the outside. This has helped me write a lot about how to do church tech, but I think it’s time to discuss how we organize and staff the tech team. So, let’s start with the Sunday morning, or ‘in-service’ tech team and figure out who should be in each role, and how they should go about fulfilling the requirements of that role.

Creating content online — blog posts, newsletters, social media and more — can have moments of “running dry” on ideas.

From a general phone review, there really isn’t too much for myself to brag about. At the base of this review, you have to realize two things: I had the original Pixel when it launched and love it and I did not want to pay for a flagship phone price. Yet, here I am writing a review for my new Pixel 3A that I have had for a week.
