Or do video games help bring those suffering from depression well?
It turns out, both statements can be correct.

Do video games make depression deepen?
Or do video games help bring those suffering from depression well?
It turns out, both statements can be correct.
Why is it that so much Christian media is — lame?
From movies to video games (not so much with music anymore), anything within the Christian marketing genre is stereotypically bad. There are some bright spots, sure, but what happened to creative works, by Christians, like Lord of the Rings? Why don’t we have more “playable parables”?
This week on the podcast we discuss this further, mostly with the focus on video games, as we think back to the ol’ Wisdom Tree games and argue that there are many games that have some beautiful things to say (Bastion was one of our examples).

A few weeks ago in the ChurchMag Facebook Group, the question was asked about what movies we had recently seen or were going to see.
Our family was getting ready to finally see Spider-Man: Homecoming (I know, it’s about time) and we’re anxiously awaiting to see Thor: Ragnarok thereafter. You see, when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, our family takes it very seriously. The must be watched in order!
With the arguable exception of the latest Batman trilogy, the Marvel series is my favorite superhero movie series. If I had to pick a favorite, it wouldn’t be easy!

I did something that is very out of characteristic of myself recently. I paid money for a service I use for free. See, I’m super cheap. If I want something bad enough, I’ll get it. But I have to identify several different ways I will use it to justify to myself it is worth it. Many times I just say no because it will only serve one singular purpose.
Think about all the services you and your ministry use that are free:
Facebook, Twitter, and other similar platforms have conditioned us to links in posts. Unfortunately or otherwise, links in Instagram posts are not available. This is has given rise to link services for Instagram. A needed service if adding links to your posts is something, like me, I want to do from time to time. Not only of individuals but the need might be greater for churches as well. I took a look at four Instagram link services/tools/platforms.
As you’ll discover, the fourth might not be a service per se.

When I was a teenager I used to change my desktop wallpaper every couple of days or so, (and fill up a ridiculous amount of hard drive space as a result), but now I tend to stick to one design for about 6 months or so, till I get a prompt to change thanks to some seasonal event.
Well, this little web app made me break that newer trend. It’s a way to quickly create stylish a map wallpaper.
