I love the idea of virtual reality (VR) as well as augmented reality (AR). The difference between the two of them is that at this very moment, AR has so many applications for it, from HUD overviews for the military to Plumbers that want to learn new parts of their profession. VR has some applications with PTSD exposure therapy and gaming, but it’s very limited right now.
That being said, I look forward to a Ready Player One type of future (the VR, not the dystopian future) where you socialize, learn, and work in VR.
The whole point of it was to be disconnected to the real work, right? Maybe not.
