There are times when words fail us. What do you say to parents who have lost their child? To a friend entering the final stages of cancer? To your neighbor when she tells you she’d getting a divorce because her husband has had a girlfriend for years? Words seem to trivial, so ‘not enough’ at times like that. So what do you say? Some horrific cliché, like ‘This too shall pass?’ Or a Christian cliché along the lines of “God will make all things work together for good’? (and conveniently forget the second part of that verse, which states ‘for those who love Him’—rendering it useless for non-Christian friends). The Advantages of Keeping a Digital Bible Journal
A few weeks back I received an email from Chris Browler looking at Bible journaling. In the email, he briefly went into the advantages of keeping a Bible journal in general for our spiritual growth. However, the part that really got me was when he started looking at the pros of using a digital Bible journal, especially with the similarities with apps like Timehop.

Lately, I’ve been on a happiness-books-binge. That’s to say, I’ve been reading a whole number of books on the topic of happiness. Call it a fascination born from a tough personal year combined with a subtle midlife-crisis, or whatever, but I’ve been fascinated by what research says we need to do (or think) to become happier.
