For a long time I’ve thought that social media would steer towards smaller, closed networks – leaving networks like Facebook and Twitter to be much more public and less initimate. It’s no surprise we’ve seen a boost in temporary and annoymous apps.
People want to communicate with one another and be their true self – without worrying about what the people-at-large think of them.
I think this is an important concept to understand, so we don’t have a kneejerk reaction when we hear that teens like to use these apps. Take a look:
