I love Tripp and Tyler, two Christian comedians who have always seemed to have a great understanding of technology within the church. So the following video is going to have a lot of humor in it and you need to laugh. But then watch it again and maybe take some notes on how you can do social media better. Even better, maybe you can share the video with some friends, family, and coworkers that need to hear this.

Word Lens App is Now Free!
I downloaded Word Lens years ago.
As a Spanish teacher, I thought I’d found a perfect resource. Sadly, I couldn’t find a good use for it in my class.
Then, a few months ago, I was speaking to a friend who was preparing to head to the mission field. We started talking about his plans for language school and the best ways to learn language.
That’s when I remembered Word Lens.

You might have been reading my content on best tips for blogging and social media for some time now, mostly through the lens of a blogger, church leader, or ministry/church. Go comb through it and see what I say is the top two most important pieces to winning on these platforms.

Assuming you are not cheating, here they are: content and strategy. Anything less is throwing tweets, blog articles, and content against the wall and hoping it sticks. It’s a waste of your time, your audiences’ time, and probably is hurting your online presence more than helping it.
Branding the Gospel
This is a difficult post for me to write. Mainly because I’m a huge fan of branding and identity within businesses. I love the task and craft of developing an image for someone that is easily memorable, and so this post shouldn’t be received as an issue with branding as a practice, but rather as branding in the context of church, the Gospel, and Christianity in western culture.

There are several different technologies and avenues church’s can explore in distributing their live streaming. You can use an easy to use tool like Media Fusion that embeds into your church website, setup a Roku channel and even publish a mobile app on iTunes and Google Play for users to attend online services on mobile devices.

How I got involved in church tech
I remember the day that I was invited to church by a cousin and little did I know it would change my life. Everyone has a story about how they got into church tech and mine was easy. I wanted to help out. I heard the vision of the senior pastor and I was tired of going to church and not being involved and then I took a stand.
