… Ok, ready for some real thoughts?

Freelancing in the ministry space is a bit different than freelancing in other market segments; I know, I’ve tried.
Specifically what I mean by “ministry space” is that your primary (or majority) clientele are ministries, churches, and non-profits.
It’s been an interesting experience to say the least, and although I could talk your ear off about a lot of “lessons” learned, here are 5 myths that I was reminded recently that I’d like to share with you.
One of the reasons that we have the weekly “Ask 8BIT” is simply because we want to be able to offer our community a simple way to ask us anything they want.
Obviously having a standard post like that gives people permission and creates value. This isn’t the best way to do this since many people do have questions and don’t want to necessarily wait til Sunday (when we release the post) to ask it.
So we’re looking into some alternative programs and web apps. One of them might be Qhub.
Just a simple reminder that ChurchLoop is a great place to post and find freelance gigs!
But did you know that there’s a LOLCat translation of the Word of God?
Because you’re totally missing out if you didn’t know.
Someone passed me this earlier the other day and I was blown away how cool this little app is.
Essentially Air Video enables you to stream videos to your iPhone with exceptional ease. It’s both an iPhone App and a desktop application (for both Windows and Mac!).
Really pretty cool.
