This was another great year for YouTube as more and more creative content is being posted online. Does not matter if you are someone that enjoys watching gamers, vloggers, Christian poets, sports action, comedy, or music videos. It’s all there.
Below we have some great recommendations for you, but I also wanted to show off a production YouTube has been running at the end of every year called their YouTube Rewind with many successful channels all wrapped into one. Enjoy!
- My favorite YouTube video was the brilliant commercial Gatorade made of retiring NY Yankees captain Derek Jeter. The whole combination of the black-and-white images, the music and the honest emotions did it for me. A lot of it was spontaneous; they just sent Jeter out on the streets around Yankee Stadium and filmed him as he interacted with fans. A nice detail is that the final image was shot in Yankee Stadium on a day I was watching the Yankees play there, so that made it even more special. – Rachel
- Best song writing advice I got this year. – Chris
- I don’t share this to be a troll, but because with my two year old, we have played it over and over. I’m sure half of the views are from my house. I just can’t let it go. – Jeremy
- Apparently this video — but there are so many! – Eric
- Did it have to come out in 2014? I’m not a big YouTube viewer, so I’m always behind. Olan Rogers released “Ghost in the Stalls” in 2012, but I just saw it this year. Check it out. It holds up. I’m not going to give you context either. Just watch it. – Phil
