We’ve found a very nice and simple tool that would be great for church groups and teams!
It’s called YapTime.
From the very beginning, you’ll find it natural to use. Its interface is very similar to Facebook in its style and layout.
Worship teams, leadership teams, small groups and even some smaller church congregations, will want to give this online tool a good look.

The main page displays the most recent, “Yaps.” Think of it as a Facebook Group page. It displays all the activity in the group. There are no personal pages with YapTime. It’s all about the group. You can create group polls, collaborate privately using the Group’s email address or in a private YapRoom.

A social media service wouldn’t be complete without a place to upload videos and photos! You can organize them into albums and leave comments, too.

The calendar function is very nice. Click on the event and you’ll get all the event details: Date, time, location, a link to view the location on Google Maps, as well as the ability to add comments regarding the event.

If you are working with a team who needs to share files, you’re going to love the file sharing feature. You can create folders based on events, projects, etc … and load them up.

YapTime is basic, but usable. You’re not going to find it complicated or bloated with features.
With its palatable learning curve and clean design, you’ll find it great to use for a broad range of generations.
Try it out, it’s free!
