The infographic below was designed for businesses, and while I dislike making the association between ministry and business, I feel like the alignment here is proper. So churches who are thinking of creating a digital presence for their ministry, please check out the infographic below.
I will also say that the points I draw from it are not statistical, but they are motivating and should be read with both enthusiasm and understanding.
- Change starts with leadership. Pastors, you do not need to understand the fullness of a digital presence for your ministry, but you are the one that will make it successful even if you are hands off with it.
- A digital ministry may not be about getting more bodies into church, though this certainly can be the case. Be prepared for minimal return on investment initially. As with any church plant, you do not expect to be the size of Saddleback in two months time.
- Make a digital ministry part of your core values and purpose. Doing so and seeing ministry through the digital lens can change everything.
What is your initial and thought-through response to my bullet points before the infographic?
