An Air Conditioner with WiFi?

 Kuhl Air Conditioner wifi

Air conditioning manufacturer Friedrich, is on the verge of releasing the FriedrichLink Wi-Fi Adapter.

That’s right, we’re talking about controlling your AC unit, and a window unit at that, with an iPhone app!

You’ll be able to start, set and stop your A/C unit from anywhere. Cool idea?

Plus, you can program the entire week.

I would imagine that if this tech settles well, the concept of WiFi HVAC controls could spread into the commercial market, too.

Do you think this is a cool idea?

Being that I don’t have central air at my house. I find this product very interesting.

Having the ability to control the temperature at my house when I’m out would be great.

I wonder how much this thing is going to cost when it becomes available.

It’s pretty cool. I have had a thermostat with wifi built in for over three years now. It registers on my network, I can log in and control it from any device. I think it’s by 3M… It comes in handy when we are out and need to change the temp because we forgot to set it or decided we want it warmer or cooler. It’s even easy to change it from the couch when I’m watching TV…

But my wife hates it when I change it just to mess with her…

BTW, it only cost me $60-70 at Lowe’s or Home Depot…

Sweet! So you just hooked it up to a pre-existing system?
