When Creativity Becomes Distracting

Being a creative can be distracting.

Whether you work in a church, for a church, volunteer at a church, or just plain create, you know the feeling of losing sight of what we are doing and why we are doing what we do.

Check out this video below of a call to worship:

Powerful stuff. The line that struck me the most was:

As if our worship ran on electricity, keep it off during the week because your worship bill might just come in to high.

Any line that stood out you?

Wow. Powerful stuff man. I like the line you pulled out the best too. That’s always the issue we face as church workers. How do we keep worship on our minds the other 6 days of the week?

And the funny thing is the power was out at my house last night…reminded me of the video immediately.

Wow. Somewhere down the line, we (the Church) has confined worship to lifted hands and watery eyes. Truthfully, worship out stretched hands to help those with crying eyes. Worship isn’t 15 minutes every Sunday, it’s everything that happens both on & in between Sundays.
