Zack Brown of Columbus, OH setup a funny Kickstarter.
The goal? $10.
And what did he want to kickstart?
Potato salad.
Here’s the description from Zack’s Kickstarter page:
“I’m making potato salad.
Basically I’m just making potato salad. I haven’t decided what kind yet.”
Then things got a little crazy.
This potato salad Kickstarter hit Reddit and he began to quickly zoom past all his stretch goals. Just as he began adding new goals, they were quickly reached. He’s finally invited “the whole Internet:“
“I will rent out a party hall and invite the whole internet to the potato salad party (only $10 and above will be allowed in the kitchen)! The internet loves potato salad! Let’s show them that potato salad loves the internet!!”
The biggest risk and challenge for this humorous Kickstarter?
“It might not be that good. It’s my first potato salad.”
You can see more on Zack’s Kickstarter page and read through some of his stretch goals and funny FAQs.
What’s Your Potato Salad?
Zack had a funny idea, and how he made it past the Kickstarter screening process, I don’t know; but someone at Kickstarter clearly has a sense of humor. Sure, it’s funny, but fundamentally it’s an idea — something that many of us have.
Do you have an idea? A goal? A dream?
Do the doubts keep crowding in and the calendar says you don’t have time? Maybe it’s about time that you submit your idea to Kickstarter, start writing that ebook to get published, or whatever your potato salad may be.
