As technology continues advancing in our generation, and more and more books become available on smartphones, there’s much to be said about reading a good paper-bound book.
At least I think so.
So what are you reading these days?

James Cooper says
Currently reading ‘Catching Fire’ (2nd in the Hunger Games trilogy) – on the Kindle iPad app…

Adam Shields says
Old Man’s War by John Scalzi on audiobook, Booked: Literature in the Soul of Me (a memoir using books as a tool to unpack her life) by Karen Swallow Prior and God’s LIfe in Trinity edited by Miraslov Volf.
Still pretty kindle and audiobook focused. I keep paper books around for plane flights.
Marcus Williamson says
Im reading my first memoir, All Is Grace. Who knew memoirs could be so good.
And plane flights. Yes please π
Adam Shields says
I liked all is Grace (Brennan Manning?). Hope you enjoy it.
Marcus Williamson says
That’s the one π
Jonathan says
“Israel At War” by Joel Rosenberg. E-book edition. I will read the occasional paperback, but most of my books are Kindle format or iTunes audiobook, since I do several book reviews a year for publishers. This book, though, is a great one that’s kept my attention…
Marcus Williamson says
Definitely understand that for sure. Keep that hustle going. Haven’t read it, but I’m sure you’re going to post a review yeah? When you do, send me the link. Twitter: @mawill
Jonathan says
Sure thing, Marcus. Tyndale has asked that my review go live on 11/2. This link (http://wp.me/p1Gr8Y-1gd) will work as of 9:00 PST that day. I’ll also tweet you the link…

Scwheet
Cyril says
Reading “Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry” by Doug Fields, hard copy.
I actually prefer paper-bound. I don’t have a Kindle. I have a Kindle app on my laptop, but I use my laptop for everything, so when I am on it, it is tough to get in the reading mindset. I get too distracted. When I have a physical book, I can really settle down and do nothing but read.
Marcus Williamson says
Love that Cyril. I find having physical books are just so good. It’s great having the other as an option, but something has to be said about paper-bound books. Underlining and jotting down quick messages in the flow of reading is something I do frequently.

I’m a big fan of books in general. Really don’t care whether they’re digital or not. π
My next tangible book will be 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller. Followed closely by John Maxwell’s 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth.
Marcus Williamson says
True true π
Haven’t read either of these, but John Maxwell always tends to bring a hammer when writes π
Tom Martin says
Just finished Love Does on the iPad and now I’m reading Andy Stanley’s Deep and Wide along with Wrecked by Jeff Goins.
Marcus Williamson says
Love Does. It’s such a good book. Just started reading it. Goff’s writing style is intoxicating.
Dee and Wide. My former boss is reading that and tells me good things about it.
Scott Brigman says
Love that you’re reading ‘Love Does’. Great book. We’re reading it as a church staff.
Marcus Williamson says
π It’s really good. I’m half way in and it’s so good.

Just picked up a book (at the library) on John Calvin earlier this week…

Niceness. What book?
