Today is the birth of a new and simple and fun initiative to bring conversations and community together surrounding a particular tech topic of the day.
Here are the rules:
- The Weekly Tech Blog Topic happens (wait for it…) once a week.
- It always is on a Wednesday.
- The topic is either created by ChurchCrunch or suggested by a reader (or a tweet!).
- Those interested will blog about the particular topic of the day and then return to ChurchCrunch.com and throw down a comment with a direct link back to their post with any additional meandering thoughts they may still have.
- Conversations characterized by “sheer awesomeness” will occur as the blogosphere is invaded by a unified front of single-minded tech bloggers.
So, the first ever “Weekly Tech Blog Topic” is:
If you could “get rid” of one piece of technology in your life, what would it be and why?
BEGIN!
Oh, and if you’re in a more cheery mood since it is Thanksgiving… head over here to share your technology thanks…!

Great idea! This will certainly draw some crowds and perhaps create a little community around ChurchCrunch!
we'll see… i like hearing other's thoughts… easier than asking for g-posts all the time…! and not everyone is down for stuff like that.
Fun idea! I wrote about Voicemail. Ick.
hahaha. man, i am in total complete agreement here. i've got that "flashing" light thing going on since i got here.. perhaps i should get the password..
I was in heaven once when my voicemail light broke. It wouldn't come on, even if there were messages. Later we figured it out and I had a ton of message that I hadn't answered. Not good, but fun while it lasted.
mine's still blinking. i'm looking at it right now.
*sigh*.
Interestingly Jason, the piece of technology I would rid my life (and the world) of is also phone related. I would rid the world of the automated phone attendant! You can read my post here:
