My identity does not exist outside of relationship to these other people (the "social graph") or these things with which I've self-identified (the things I'm a "fan" of or am "following" on Twitter, etc.). Postmodernism helps us see how culturally/socially situated we are. The social graph helps us to see our location in relationship to other people and things (companies/brands/etc.).
