We are Community-Powered!

I’ll be honest. When I see one of our little “squares” on people’s blogs my heart smiles.

It’s been an interesting thing growing this blog (and our network) and seeing the people who have come and joined the conversation and community. It has also been interesting to note those that have come for a while and then left, never to return again in the comments (perhaps they are lurking).

Community development is an interesting thing online. I don’t pretend to know how it works, only that it does. I do know that this community here, and the growing one’s in the other blogs and properties, have been the primary source of energy and growth and that it has meant the world to me.

Giving Back

We try to give as much as we can back to the community. Some would say we’re doing a good job of simply providing valuable content; I say we can pick it up a notch. There’s so much that we can do but the right question has always been what we should do.

All that to say, this year is going to be another year of experimentation and I want to thank you, as personally as I possibly can via a blog post, that your work and time spent here has been appreciated.

Seriously. It’s been grand.

A Small Ask

We don’t ask for much in return and that’s because your attendance here, comments, and the community is all that we need (and love). And we’d be happy if that’s all that we got!

But, our goal is to reach as many people as humanly possible with the content that we create. This is because we simply want to be the most helpful and useful to the most people, and there are still 10′s of thousands of people we don’t reach simply because we can’t be there.

But you can.

All of you have unique circles of influence and you’re responsible for managing them well. If you feel like your circle and network could benefit from some of the content that we provide and create, please consider adding one of our small banners to your blog and website!

That’s all we ask, that you spread the good word about the 8BIT Network. You can find site-specific banners for each property here:

We’ve made them pretty so they won’t look too lame on any property!
;)

Thanks all! Keep on rocking it awesomesauce-style!
