The great thing is that this came without us even initiating it, it just happened. The results have been amazing and the people are being touched even coming weeping to their TV sets and thearther floors - point is, souls are being saved and the kingdom is being advanced. We did it on a two week cycle, where we ate a simple dinner (in front of the tv) and watched a movie one week and then the next week we ate a more involved dinner around the table and discussed the movie. One manifestation of this was a small group from church where 5 of the six that regularly attended either had or work working on an advanced degree in theology or MDiv. That was a very different group that what we are hoping to start soon with primarily non-Christian friends. But we used the language of the media and movies to help us illistrate the meaning of life. Last Friday, or Life Group tapped into the power of Skype to keep one of our members connected. He does work on radar systems and these projects call for him to be on the road for weeks at a time. Rather than missing out, he got to stay involved. His wife sent him the workbook ahead of time. Then using Skype and two web-cams, he was able to interact with us the entire night despite being 1,300 miles away.
