Voxli – Best Large Group Voice Chat System Ever

I’ve found it. I’ve really found it. I’ve been looking for a super easy large group voice chat system and I found it.

It’s called Voxli, and so far, it rocks my face.

Voxli is a super easy voice chat system that can support up to 200 people at the same time on a persistent URL (http://voxli.com/churchcrunch). Originally intended for Gamers and Teams, it’s application and use could easily be leveraged for the local Church.

One of the most beautiful features is the “Push to Talk” button, that can be assigned to any keyboard character. This make sure that you’re not talking when you’re not supposed to or don’t want to. It’s an auto-mute feature that’s so desirable in services like Tokbox.

You can create groups, send invites to people to join, change your name easily, and do a few other things… and all it requires is a Plugin (use Firefox) to use. I love how it doesn’t have too many bells and whistles and is a pretty slim and streamlined app and service.

There are a couple projects that I’m interested in that may warrant the price and I can’t imagine it “breaking the bank” because their intended demographic is already shelling out cash for the video games they play anyways.

Although it doesn’t sport video right now I don’t see why it “couldn’t.” And I’m not sure it needs to anyways.

Bottom-line: It’s a great large-group voice chat system that could be easily leveraged for your ministry teams and church.

    ooo, I gotta try this.
I assume that this needs an internet connection and can;t be done on a closed local network, hmmm.
sounds like a great way to communicate to people manning laptops – for say CG and sound effects during the service.

    interesting

I'm looking for something like this but with a Spanish language interface to hold webinars for my churches in Latin america. Do you know of anything?
