Vimeo Adds Robust Statistics to Videos, Becomes Even More Awesome

Wow. This couldn’t be better!

Available to Plus Members, you can track plays, loads, finishes, comments and even more on your videos.

Geolocation? Embeds? Yes, you can count those too. I’m honestly really impressed. Check out this video overview:

And here’s a look at one of my videos:

I feel this is even more of a reason to use Vimeo for your organization.

Hey YouTube, do you have something like this?
;)

Awesome – I prefer Vimeo so much more. I don’t know why – it just looks better, shrug.
When they do stuff like this it makes them so much more.

Been waiting for this. Such a great surprise.

Looks a remarkable amount like Google Analytics…

This looks awesome. However, I am looking for a video service like Viddler that enables me to embed external links within the video. Gary Vaynerchuk uses this all the time on his wine reviews. It is pretty awesome.

      agreed. viddler is pretty neat!

AND Viddler lets you put YOUR OWN logo in your player (unlike YouTube or Vimeo). That is- a logo that stays like in YouTube. (Vimeo does allow you to have your profile image, but it doesn’t stick through the video.

oh wow, that’s very neat. I can just picture a person ‘picking up’ virtual text – “click here”

Thanks for sharing this. This looks very thorough. Next month I am becoming a plus member.

    Must. Get. Plus. Account.

This is really all I’ve been waiting for (this and the superfast uploads vs. the free.99 account)

And I like that Plus member’s vids can be viewed in non-flash (für teh iPhone!)

    Vimeo FTW!

wow, kudos to Vimeo. Really bringing the heat on YouTube for pro-grade videos.

Vimeo is awesome, hardly arguable. I wonder how Vimeo does in the categories listed here: http://churchcrunch.com/social-media-cheat-sheet/

    Especially in comparison to youtube.

Would make a good youtube vs vimeo cagematch article ;)

Vimeo Plus doesn’t let you embed links in a video while it’s playing but it does lets you embed a link in an ‘outro’. Outro options include: videos from your library, album or channel; 3 specific videos; html text, or a link

i find those things annoying though. so, i’d rather not have the option at all.

Awesome addition. My only beef with Vimeo is that they don’t allow commercial videos. Lots of my clients love the UI of Vimeo, but end up having to use some other service because they don’t want to violate the terms. Boo.

Is there anything that Vimeo doesn’t do well? They’re the Apple of online video.

once again proving how much better vimeo is.

I think it’s the size difference..
