How many bookmarks do you have?
For some of us, we collect bookmarks like some kind of obsessed Beanie Babies collector. While I have a few different strategies in how I manage my bookmarks, clip content to blog about or collect links to read later, I am always on the lookout for something better. That “something better” I will be trying is Unmark.
Unmark is a really cool online app that is deigned to help you actually do something with your bookmark collection, instead of simply hoarding them in your browser basement.
Check it out:
Unmark
How do you like that fancy-shmancy animated GIF? Who ever thought that GIFs would never last on the web — pfffttt!
As you can see by the image above, Unmark is really well designed. It’s simple, easy on the eyes, and works really smooth. The best think about Unmark is your ability to filter through your bookmarks. It isn’t just about labels, either.
Options, It Haz Them
Unmark’s Filter Options:
- Label
- Tags
- Search
- Timeline/History
You can even keep notes for each bookmark, too!
Unmark’s Cool Options:
- Preview online content
- Save from your menu bar
- Chrome extension
- Import and export
- Fork on Github
That last one really got me. So awesome!
Conclusion
If you’re interested in a new way or any way to organized your bookmarks, Unmark is worth a look.
Currently, it comes in two different versions — free and paid. The free version does not give you the ability to search saved bookmarks nor import your current set, but it does allow you to save up to 10 bookmarks per day — just enough for you to play around with Unmark and see if it’s worth the $12 per year — a small price to pay for a solid online tool.
