I would characterize my experience online as a “neverending quest to find a new emoticon.” It’s like alchemy really, or coining a new phrase. Just imagine creating an emoticon that suddenly captures the national consciousness. When :>$ is the most used emoticon of 2011, you’ll know who to thank. π
