I am new to the world of WordPress but love the platform and have used it for a few clients and my personal portfolio. I am always wanting to learn more and more to become better at what I do. While I am not great at WP programming yet, the tutorials from this would help me to become better. Also, while I am learning to program this plugin would allow me to develop dynamic websites for my clients which would be huge.

I’ve been using Drupal (with a paid developer) for awhile now, but am contemplating a new CMS-type site for missions w/o a budget for a developer. This WP plugin might be just the ticket to help me make the site happen on my own!

I find myself drooling when I think about the possibilities made possible by custom post types and taxonomies. Pretty sure there isnt ANYTHING I can’t build on top of WordPress now.

I can’t tell you how much this plugin would have helped over the last year or so since WordPress introduced custom post types. While I can and have and am currently coded the functions necessary to implement custom post types and taxonomies on the front and backend, a plugin like Types & Views would speed up and simplify the process immensely thus freeing me to explore even more ways to extend WordPress.

I plan to use this plugin on the new version of my church’s website almost immediately. And I tell ya, I’d hate to have to expense out the cost of a premium plugin like this to my church, guess I’ll have to eat the cost. ;)

I love the amazing flexibility of WordPress and use it to build sites for clients. This plugin would make the world of WordPress less intimidating to the newbies out there and enable clients to do basic site updates easier. I would love it!

I am so not a programmer and this tool would allow me to get closer to the vision I have for my blog properties without having to pay someone or taking up all of my time learning how to code these items. Don’t get me wrong, I like learning new things, but I am also a firm believer in the strengths methodology.

I hope I win!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

We’re about to build a website for our Pastors radio ministry and the Types and Views plugin would be a HUGE blessing :-)

This plugin will greatly help customizing a site I planned. It seems very similar with CCK and View in Drupal but in WordPress flavor. :)

I’m wanting to use this to customize church websites that I work on. I’m thinking this would work great for organizing and displaying staff and sermons. It’s more customizable than a plugin, and it can be adapted to fit any church.

We’re trying to move our outdated church website onto wordpress to make it easier for people to manage it. This would be a lifesaver in helping us to develop the CMS so that the website has templates developed for key information.

I am constantly looking for good themes to use for client websites

I’d like to publicly thank Eric for writing about Views. We’ve very happy to support the efforts of the winners in this contest.

Also, the comments that I’m seeing here are great. It’s interesting to read what people build with WordPress and how custom types plays a role.

BTW, already today, when you get Views, you also get another plugin called ‘Types Access’. That plugin does role management and lets you control what different users can do in the WordPress admin. If you just won Views here, or you’re buying it, make sure to check out Types Access from your account downloads.

Another thing that you might want to know about is our upcoming front-end content creation and editing plugin (name pending). That plugin will let you create a lot more dynamic and interactive sites. Visitors will be able to submit content through front pages and edit it. This will work with access management, so that only specific users can do certain actions, and have an elaborate hooks system, to add your own actions when content is added or edited.

I’ll write about it to Eric when it’s done and I’m sure that you’ll have another chance to win free stuff from us.
