The Scale of the Universe [Interactive]

This is really cool.

The Scale of the Universe takes various things from the universe and plots them on a 3-dimensional linear line, grouped by measurement.

Here. Take a look:

By moving the scroll bar on the bottom, you move inwards towards smaller sizes:

Zooming-out increases the size of objects:

My whole family enjoyed scrolling in and out, seeing how small and how BIG our universe is!

OUR GOD IS SO BIG!!!

While at the same time, He inhabits the smallest of things.

Enjoy!

:D

This is excellent, but probably the best demonstration I’ve seen illustrating the immense size of the observed universe is in a movie called “Created Cosmos.” It is fantastic, and I highly recommend it for viewers of all ages. It’s around 25 minutes long, I believe.
