"f you intend to purchase StarCraft II digitally, downloading the client now will allow you to simply pay and play when digital copies of StarCraft II go on sale." This should quell the opportunity for a bandwidth meltdown on release day. The download is over 7GB. Plus, my guess is they are charging the same as retail with no manufacturing or packaging overhead, and very, very minimal shipping overhead.
