I am already in the market for a DSLR for video (probably whatever the Nikon D90 replacement ends up being) to get good depth of field, interchangeable lenses, and (with the upcoming Nikon) auto-focus in the package. This Sony is like a DSLR in reverse, and despite the form factor, may also be a decent still camera for some situations. But our local video pro isn't too keen on it. He laments the lack of XLR mic input, the interlaced video, and the lack of a full-frame sensor. I like the interchangeable lenses in combination with virtually unlimited video length--something no DSLR comes close to offering. So I'm torn, but right now I'm leaning toward the D90 replacement, and sticking with my Panasonic TM700 for longer video and/or video requiring high zoom.
