The How, The Why, The Redesign – Webcast

cc_redesign

If you’re reading this post in your RSS Feed Reader jump out for a second and check out our new redesign!

This is v3.0 of ChurchCrunch and I’m happy to officially announce it’s go-live.

I’ve poured my nights and weekends into this particular revision for the last 4 weeks and what you see here is pretty much the finest piece of coding genius that I’ve ever accomplished.

I’ll admit it though… it’s not the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen but the code in the backend is absolutely gorgeous… You’ll obviously just have to take my word for it.

For example, one of the most amazing things about this blog is that it’s only using 2 plugins. Just two. The reason it isn’t “zero” is because the two that I’m using were expertly coded to begin with and there wasn’t any need to reinvent the wheel (but I tried…!). Everything else is hand-coded or homegrown for maximum speed and effectiveness.

Check out the 404 page too…!

There’s so much that I’d like to share about this redesign, from a design, functional, and strategy perspective, that I’d thought I’d host a webcast. My hope is that you’ll be able to take away some of the things I’ve learned and done so you can make your own properties smashing!

So, this coming Tuesday, April 7th at 11:30am EST, I’ll be hosting a Live Webcast where I’ll walk you through the redesign, share my thoughts, and have a Q/A session where you can ask me anything you want about it.

So mark your calendars and I’ll see you here early next week.

Ciao.

My only question is; what happened to categories?
Just b4 the change I found the curly bracket wordpress hack post fairly easily because I knew it would be under the category of blogs, but now I am having trouble locating it – even with the search

but then again I might be missin something that will be cleared up next week :-)
