Churches are finally getting online and the web is moving on without them. Having a good website for people to see on their computer is not enough anymore. Now we need to make sure visuals are high quality, websites are mobile responsive, and we are taking great photos of staff, volunteers, congregation members, and ministry events and then posting them on social networks on Pinterest and Instagram.
Here are three visual stats that you need to consider for your online presence:
- PC users are by far more likely to surf photos online, but mobil app users are beginning to tear into that domination.
- Pinterest and Instagram are the social networks to be on for images, Pinterest seeing over 1000% increase in unique visitors this year.
- The web on mobile is not the same as a desktop, yet visuals should NOT be ignored.
What do you think is more important, a visual aspect or connecting with people?
