Over the past few years, the gap that has traditionally existed between desktop applications and web applications has narrowed.
This is because developers have begun to leverage the technology more and more, browsers have begun to provide greater support, and JavaScript libraries have made it relatively easy to include Ajax within our projects.
But if you’re new to development, it’s important to understand what Ajax is, how it works, and how to begin using it within the context of your work.
In this series, we’re going to take a high-level look at Ajax as well as some simple examples of how to write Ajax-based functionality.
