Thank goodness there’s a lot of Grace being handed out in ministry for the web and IT guys… We have a lot of “things” on our minds.
Sorry for forgetting your name…! Help make it less awkward by not being mean about it.

So true!
So many times I’ve had to admit, “I never forget a face, names…not so much.”
But when I have my wife with me, she knows my method to “remembering”. The person will walk up and say hello.
I will respond, “Hey! Have you met my wife?”
She sticks out her hand and says, “Hi, I’m Michelle.”
(what happens next??)
The other person responds, “Good to meet you, I’m .”
Then I jump back in and say, ” works for x company…..”
Another forgotten name recovered!!
HA! My wife and I do the exact same thing! Of course, she’s much better at names than I am, and will often whisper the name of the person to me ala Lady Jessica (shameless geek reference, I know).
When she’s not around, I’ve resorted to a nifty iPhone app called Whoodl. It catalogs names with various attributes. When you launch it, you type in an attribute, and it returns every name with it. It’s very simple, but very effective!
This is one of my favorite Dilbert cartoons. I find myself identifying with Dilbert way too often.
Join the club!
