You could do a screen grab using software… that's what I do. i use screenflow for mac.

I've been trying for the last 2 weeks to get a clip out of the movie Titanic that I can create a promo video around for a new Men's Bible Study at our church. I got the legality of using the clip all cleared up (hooray CVLI !) but I just can't get the stinkin clip out of the movie!!!

I need help – any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick tips. Development is probably more of what I would like to do but there seems to be so much even within that line. I suppose i could just start by learning HTML and CSS and go from there.

I'd go simple. Simple to start is better than complicated and you can always add complexity and things to your blog. Get comfortable with the system and become a pro!

In terms of becoming bi-vocational, first try to focus on what you're really passionate about: is it design? Is it development? Is it management? What EXACTLY gets you fired up about it? That'll help point you in a more focused path since you could do a lot of stuff and not really anything at the same time.

Hey there,

Just started to become a reader recently as I have taken the plunge into creating a blog through WordPress. I've got a really rudimentary page up and running with a few tidbits and I am wondering about a couple things.

1) As a first time blogger and new to pretty much all of this, would you have any suggestions for designing my first blog/site using WordPress?

2) As someone who works full time+, is wanting to try and be a good husband and father, and has a few other busy evenings with other ministry, I am wondering if you have any suggestions on where I should target my study/learning to slowly progress towards perhaps more work in web development. Time is at a premium so any great resources that would start me off on the right track without bogging me down too much with distractions would be great.

When you live stream events what sort of mixer are you using to get the audio to the streaming software. I've always been a fan of ustream and it has an option for Soundflower but that doesn't do a great job coming from a blue usb snowball mic. I'm right next to the soundboard and have also tried using firebox but the audio was terrible. Just curious to what you use for services and events like Catalyst to get a pleasant audio feed for viewers.
We aren't looking to go mainstream but for students who are out of town for our middle and high school services or even students who can't attend because of illness or not able to leave the house.
I appreciate any info you can forward my way!
