ChurchMag Celebration: WordPress ‘Standard’ Theme Giveaway

Standard theme 8bit wordpress

[ChurchMag has reached the 10,000 blog post mark, and we're celebrating with all kinds of giveaways -- game on!]

This wouldn’t be any kind of celebration without giving away 10 Standard premium WordPress themes to celebrate 10,000 posts, would it?

I didn’t think so, either.

Standard 3

So much passion and love went into the building of Standard 3, it’s not even really fair to all those other WordPress themes.

Standard 3 was re-built from the ground-up, and is running on the same foundational code that Standard for WordPress.com was built on.

Standard is:

  • Mobile ready using Twitter Bootstrap – responsive FTW!
  • Child Theme ready, so customizing and using Standard to accelerate web projects is as easy as ever.
  • Packaged with multiple widgets that will make you smile. Social Influence Widget, Activity Tabs and more!
  • Ready for SEO awesome. 8BIT hired SEO consultant Joost de Valk to review Standard 3, so you can have the greatest amount of SEO possible in markup without using any additional plugins.
  • Set with a Social Icon Manager, so you can easily change your social media icons and links.

And there’s more.

A lot more.

You can read more about Standard 3 on ChurchMag, check out a demo and purchase Standard 3 on the Standard theme website, and enter to win 1 of the 10 Standard Licenses we’re giving away.

Giveaway

Here’s how you can enter to win:

  • Share this post via your favorite social media.
  • Leave a comment below telling us why you want Standard 3.

That’s it!

Winners will be randomly selected and announced Tuesday, August 28th, 2012.

The current non-profit sites I’m managing like project5130.com and madeformore.org need to be completely reworked for better SEO and mobile support. I’d love to build them on a solid platform like Standard for WordPress.

  4. August 21, 2012 at #

Because I’m launching a new website and need a totally awesome theme for it!

It would be awesome to have a robust theme (SEO!) for my church that won’t require a sysadmin to update! Thanks for putting this on, guys!

  6. August 21, 2012 at #

I would use Standard 3 to help launch my business of building WordPress sites for missionaries and other ministry based organizations. It would help me to learn how to develop some great child themes for Standard 3 as well as have a great launching pad for my own website to promote my business.

  7. August 21, 2012 at #

I’m thinking about doing a redesign and re-launch for our church website next year. Already using WP but would love to build the site on the Standard theme.

  8. August 21, 2012 at #

Having S3 would be wonderful. I’ve been eyeballing it for some time now, but it’s hard to buy for the blog when I don’t do ads or charge for things. I’d be super sweet to have a top-notch theme to support my blogging…

This would be very cool. My church site is using a different theme, but I think this would allow us to kick it up a notch.

  10. August 21, 2012 at #

Because we are in need of a new website!!!

  11. August 21, 2012 at #

I haven’t self hosted in the last three years but have recently been thinking about going back that direction. This would be the little bump I needed to make that jump.

  12. August 21, 2012 at #

I am just beginning my final year of seminary and will be focusing on developing my personal blog as a creative release. I have wanted Standard theme for a long time now, but haven’t yet been able to purchase it. This would be a huge blessing!

Standard 3 is the best WP theme to build websites with. Churches, charities, and businesses will benefit if I’m the winner of your giveaway.

My church’s site needs an upgrade.

  15. August 21, 2012 at #

I would like a copy that I can share with a buddy of mine that has seen the light but needs a little push, like a free copy of Standard :)

  19. August 21, 2012 at #

It’s about time to redo TrinityDigitalMedia.com and while I normally code it myself, I’d love to use Standard to get advanced features and take it up a notch.

  20. August 21, 2012 at #

I want to upgrade my current theme, standard is pretty intuitive for beginner for customization.

  21. August 21, 2012 at #

I’ve always been a big fan of Standard Theme and I’ve always thought that the 8 Bit team did such a fantastic job in coding it with all sorts of features and clean code.

I’d like to win a copy of this theme because I’m in full-time vocational ministry and I develop websites for church and ministry use. If I win a copy of Standard, I would use it to build a church or ministry website which means that the Standard theme would be used towards making an impact for the Kingdom :-)

  22. August 21, 2012 at #

I’ve been looking to move over from Genesis to Standard 3 now for sometime. This would be the opportune time to make that happen. And I’m up for a challenge in switching themes.

  23. August 21, 2012 at #

I would like Standard 3 because (1) it is awesome, (2) you guys are giving it away, and (3) I’m currently using a free theme and would like to move up in the world! :)

I’ve been a fan of Standard for some time but haven’t had a destination to use it, until now. I’m working with a friend who is starting a new ministry for couples and he only has a minimal web presence. S3 would be a huge win for him!

  25. August 21, 2012 at #

I would love to upgrade my blog to Standard 3 because of their slick, professional design and SEO optimization.

  26. August 21, 2012 at #

I use Standard Theme on my wordpress.com blog, but would love to try it out on a self-hosted site.

  28. August 21, 2012 at #

I’d like Standard Theme 3 because I’m thinking about launching a new site that I feel would look amazing with that theme!

  29. August 21, 2012 at #

Because Standard is simply one of the best themes available anywhere!

I first became aware of he Standard Theme when I started reading Michael Hyatt’s blog. It just draws me in. It’s clean, professional without being clinical, modern without being cold, and from all I’ve read is ultimately usable and customizable.

I have a small blog that has been languishing a bit. I would like to greatly improve it and be more purposeful about developing it. I am using a free WordPress theme now because I find WordPress robust and eminently usable. I would be grateful for the enhanced features of Standard.

Thank you for what you are doing.

    Ken

    August 22, 2012 at #

Because my current blog design is about 3 years old and I’d really like something much more mobile-friendly.

  35. August 22, 2012 at #

I’ve always wanted to get Standard, but haven’t been able to afford it. I’d LOVE to see how S3 would enhance my blog!

  36. August 22, 2012 at #

I would love a copy of Standard Theme because I’m working on an idea for a site now and I’ve been wanting to try it out. I’m a “club member” with two of the top, most well-known WordPress theme development companies and I keep going to their themes out of habit and because I know I can get great support. I’d love to have the opportunity to find out the same here. And because it will bring world peace. ;-)

  37. August 22, 2012 at #

    August 22, 2012 at #

    Because Standard rocks!

  39. August 22, 2012 at #

Cause Standard Theme is to WordPress as:

    Robin is to Batman
    Skywalker is to Yoda
    Carlton is to Will
    Silent Bob is to Jay
Kato is to The Green Hornet
    Watson is to Holmes
    Chewie is to Han
    Goose is to Maverick
    Pedro is to Napoleon
    Gromit is to Wallace
    Donkey is to Shrek

The world with one is good but with both it’s truly great!

  40. August 22, 2012 at #

Would love to get a responsive theme up on my site!

  41. August 22, 2012 at #

  51. August 27, 2012 at #

This would be a nice theme to make me go back to a self hosted site.

  52. August 27, 2012 at #

I’ve been blogging for 2 years now, and Standard theme would save me a HUGE amount of time. I’ve spent many hours tweaking my stylesheet and googling HTML coding. Standard theme makes all of that so much easier.
