Comment #1 – I'd love a copy, both for myself as one of the Pastors (Worship Pastor) at ST. Simons Community Church, and for the network of folks involved in TheWorshipCommunity.Com and other projects, including my own non-profit, Worship International. Just read a tweet about this book yesterday, and JUST FINISHED reading Seth Godin's "The Dip" earlier this week. Count me in!

I would love copies of Tribes for our team! I'm loving this book and can't wait to share it with others!

Our church is based on small groups. The entire vision of our church is "Every Believer a Leader," and so developin strong leaders and teams is key for us. This would be a great resourse for us.

Ten copies would be enough to share with both my elders and the other ministers I work with here in this town. We all realize that even in our small town of 800 that there are many people that still need to be reached.

  5. May 22, 2009 at #

This would be a great gift to our youth ministry leadership team. Thanks.

  6. May 22, 2009 at #

I know our church team would love the opportunity to read through this book together. We have been experiencing some great growth over the last year, and it's been really been impressed on us to make sure we're continually doing the right things as we move forward for reaching our community!

  7. May 22, 2009 at #

Would love to share this with our team. We are a new church, two years old, and always looking for something that we can gain bits of knowledge from. A copy for each team member would be fantastic! Thanks!

  8. May 22, 2009 at #

    Awesome. Great giveaway.

If this comment wins, I'd like to donate my copies to another ministry.

    Blessings.

I would love to pickup some copies for our team to pick up some encouragement in changing technological world.

  11. May 22, 2009 at #

THis would be great for our the Lancaster [OH] Vineyard Church leadership team… we are in a huge growth & transition period as we enter a new building and look to strategizing and restructuring for us to be able to situated properly for the future.

  12. May 22, 2009 at #

This would rock for our staff and elders at Grace Church (whoisgrace.com). it seems like we're experiencing a new level of synergy right now, and this would help ride that wave. We just moved to a new building and it's like learning to do "church" all over again. Everything is different (and awesome).

  13. May 22, 2009 at #

Safehouse Outreach in downtown Atlanta would benefit from these books.

  14. May 22, 2009 at #

Our leaders are at the brink of something huge but can't seem to take that next step, so I would like to give each a copy of Tribes to help encourage them to take the next step

I need a better grasp on what leadership is as a pastor and I think this could help me in creating other leaders in the Jr. High ministry.

  16. May 22, 2009 at #

I love Seth's stuff and the church I am leading desperately needs to flex their minds and grab hold of how they fit into God's big picture. I believe they are fertile ground for this book. Thanks for even the chance to win them!

  17. May 22, 2009 at #

We don't have a church already so this does nothing to improve my staff. I'm launching a church in Denver later this year. I'm not the generic church planter guy who wants free crap. I hear nothing but amazing things about Seth and the book from some mentors and I know it will impact my entire team moving their lives from DFW to Denver. They clearly have a calling (or are just crazy) to launch a movement in Denver to impact the world with me. Why not impart wisdom and insight from this book? We're launching a movement of dominating love that will transcend cities and cultures and reach humanity. If you're interested in donating to a single church trying to "get on their feet" or "revision themselves" then that's not us. There are plenty of other great people who could use it in that case. I appreciate your consideration. One way or another, you'll hear about us at The Reaction – I'd suggest getting in on it now though.

Venture Church. I am the lead pastor and would love to have my team read Tribes!

  19. May 22, 2009 at #

Family Life Pastor in a church that recently went thru a name change, and is strategically rebranding ourselves in the community. The church has been in the community of 20,000 for over 75 years, and nobody knows who we are.

  20. May 22, 2009 at #

We are a small rural country church. We are blessed to have a Seminary close by, and our pastoral staff is made up from our Sr Pastor who is a professor there, and our other pastors are students. We are able to provide them with part-time work and hand-on experience in ministry, and they bless us with a variety of talents and gifts during the time they are in seminary. We would truly be blessed to have these books for our pastoral staff, as well as the deacons/church board. Since our pastors are only here 1-3 yrs, they would take the knowledge from these books and spread into the new church when they accept a call after graduation. And it would fuel the flame of our small growing church that has a heart for its community! Thenk you.

  21. May 22, 2009 at #

Seth's TRIBES would be a huge encouragement to moving our volunteer leaders to seeing why their passions and talents are needed to lead and make a difference in the lives of our students and their world.

  22. May 22, 2009 at #

This would be a great resource for us to share with others in small groups!

  23. May 22, 2009 at #

Our leadership team would benefit greatly from Seth's book! Thanks for putting this out there! We're trying to regain focus and direction. Campbellsville Christian is located in an area of abour 20,000 for 125 years and still relatively unrecognized as a community influencer.

  24. May 22, 2009 at #

I echo the comment by Danielle above – I'm the Executive Pastor at Grace Church in Erie, PA. And we're just on the brink of hitting our stride in our new building and discovering and living in to our new identity. This would be a great resource for our team (staff and elders).

Some of us just read our friend Tony Morgan's "Killing Cockroaches" and we're excited that Seth's book does not have any insects involved.

  25. May 22, 2009 at #

Im the outreach pastor at our church (calvaryjupiter.com) and we would benefit greatly from reading "tribes" together. each month we pick a book to read as a team and i think this would be a perfect read for us for the month of june.

Our church plant just moved in to our first building. We are seeing some tremendous growth and this book would be a great resource.

  27. May 22, 2009 at #

I would love to review this book and possibly use it in the classroom.

  28. May 22, 2009 at #

The staff at Maryville Vineyard would love this book. We enjoy Seth's writing, and stand to learn a lot from this one.

  29. May 22, 2009 at #

Thanks for the opportunity – a set of copies of Tribes would be an awesome tool and inspiration for our Saturday Night Worship team. Still a start up in many ways, our Saturday Night Worship is still getting to know the needs of our community and following God's leading in how to be a meaningful and helpful neighbor to those around us. Plus we are in Tribe country, Cleveland Indians you know, and that's one Tribe that could really use some leadership right now! :o )

At a small Christian college where we're training the next generation of leaders. We're in a ton of transition, and right now is the time we need these kinds of resources to help our leadership team better understand how to develp a culture of learning so that students can effectively lead the Church.

I am the creative arts pastor and I do all of the marketing..I have a team 3 volunteers under me that need a better idea about leadership and marketing..so I would love 5 books for my team..

  33. May 22, 2009 at #

I would love to hand over a copy to the Pastor at our Church – in fact every Pastor and leader in a church should give this a good read. Why? Cos Church is the one place where we should be striving for the sort of leadership depicted by Seth in Tribes – leadership that wins over people to our Faith in Jesus Christ and continues in the journey of growing in that relationship.

  34. May 22, 2009 at #

Sign me up! Our creative team (which includes musicians, graphic designers, audio engineers, producers, video editors, and web developers) would LOVE it.

  35. May 22, 2009 at #

This book would be Huge for our Leadership to read. In a lot of ways the church is set in the ways of the way church has been done for 50 years, and a lot of the Leadership they are great men of God, but don't know how to change or lead the change. This book I think would influence them and myself to see that change is good, leadership is great, and God has put us in a position to change the community we are in, and the world that is around us.

  36. May 22, 2009 at #

I want to put into the hands of my team every leadership book out there for the sake of Kingdom work.

  37. May 22, 2009 at #

Our faith community, The Renew Community, would use Tribes because the concept is good enough that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the concept has the opportunity to help us live up to our name – renew our community.

  38. May 22, 2009 at #

I have personally read TRIBES by Seth and loved it. I'm a student intern at Flamingo Road Church and I think that doing ministry in Miami is probably one of the most unique/amazing oppurtunities there are. Youth ministry is probably one of the toughest Tribes to lead, especially in such a place in Miami. I think the team could really learn a lot and be encouraged by TRIBES. We're trying to go after a vision that God has given us as a church and as a student ministry… and we're ready to lead a Tribe. Would love it if the rest of the team could read it.

This would be a great read and useful resource for our staff and our new Ministry Interns starting with us at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, TN soon. We're getting ready to move to a new facility and establishing this new part of our identity and reaching the area around us is something that we're rethinking on the way we do this.

  40. May 22, 2009 at #

I work at Living Word Christian High School. Not a youth ministry by title, but spending everyday with high school students teaching Bible is youth ministry 101. It would be awesome to be able to read the book as well as pass it along to some fellow bible teachers here at the high school. We could all use a great summer book to read and be refreshed for next year.

  41. May 22, 2009 at #

My leadership team was heavily inspired by "The Starfish & the Spider" by Ori Brafman, as well as "The Go-Giver" by Bob Burg. However, we are in need of transferring these ideas online. Static websites that are seldom updated aren't serving the congregation to the best degree, nor the other connections we have. I am beginning to point the way on where we need to be going – and they are starting to get it. Tribes would be a great way to share how we can facilitate communities online with our site being the hub. http://whocenter.org

I have a team of 10 small group leaders and am always looking for resources to enrich and expand their vision for leadership. We have an incredible team of leaders. I just personally finished "Purple Cow" and one of our other team leaders just began reading "Tribes". From what I am hearing, this would be a great addition to the other resources I provide for training resources.

    Thanks for the consideration.

  45. May 22, 2009 at #

I would NOT like 10 Tribe books for my ministry. Rather, I would like 10 books for a business I have been praying for and consulting with for 3 years. The owners are wonderful people who are trying to permeate the market down here in South Florida, which is vastly different from their prior market of Manhattan. I'd like to bless them and their staff with these books. Thanks for the opportunity to ask.

Our team is working hard at identifying leaders and training them to lead our volunteers. Tribes would be a great gift for our new volunteer leaders.

We could use a book like this.. Our Mission statement is "We Love. We Make Disciples.".. That is all we do.

Tribes is an excellent book and I have been promoting Seth's work since I first picked up Purple Cow. I'm about to move to Dallas to work with a new church plant and I believe that this book would make a huge impact on the team that is already assembled there! Thanks!

I am part of a group of young international leaders within Operation Mobilization USA (international missions organization). We are going through one year of leadership training and are looking at the different sides of leadership. Our OM leadership team has set aside time and has also asked outside experts to come and teach us. "Tribes" would give us another view on leadership during this year. Thank you for this opportunity.

  50. May 22, 2009 at #

I have the audio version of Seth's book and thrill to see so many biblical examples of building community – and for the right reasons. Tribes, after all, were an old testament concept. I'm in PR/Mktg and do pro-bono work for several ministries here in the US and abroad. It would be a great delight to pass on to several of them, a copy of TRIBES as reinforcement to some of the tools I've already shared with them. I'd love to win 10 copies for my community and help make their connections stonger. @lizaroonie (also on Facebook)

As a Jr. High Pastor/ Worship Leader, I know my team could benefit from this book. I'll probably pick up a copy soon enough, but if you send it my direction, I'll be sure to get my team reading it right away :)

  53. May 22, 2009 at #

Operation Mobilization is a 50 year old ministry continually shaping the Body of Christ around the globe. We are an international community of 5500 workers from 100 nations (only 16% from North America). We serve in 118 nations and on 2 ships (www.OMships.org). The USA headquarters is located in Atlanta, Georgia, with our staff of 110. We raise all our financial support from friends, family, and churches to do what we believe is hugely important: transform lives and communities. We are a Catalyst to changing the World.

We recognize that for us to change the World we must continually be renewing ourselves and learning. God seems to be at the center of what we're doing. We also love learning and changing. If we don't change and grow as a movement we will squander the momentum that so many have sacrificed to gain. Would you help us change by sending us many copies of this book? Please consider sending us not just 10 books, but perhaps 110+. Your return on investment by sending us these books to resource our people will be worth it!

    thank you for your consideration.

I am a committed warrior in the Tribe Of Seth and have already listened to the book on a long run. It inspired me emotionally and I want our team to internalize it in our TRIBAL council. I expect it will help us to outwit, outlast, and outplay our common enemy!
