This past week I’ve been busy sculpting Godbit 2.0 and ChurchMag’s new Email Newsletter, both launching in the next few months.
I’ve been busy with other stuff, too, but these two things I’m really excited about and wanted to share with you all.
Now, how about you?
What project have you been wrangling?
Remember, if it’s a category on ChurchMag, it’s fair to share!
Let’s see what you’ve got!

Great stuff, Frank!

This has been a fun/busy week getting things ready for Christmas Eve/Day at church (a tech director’s job gets … interesting this time of year), more aggressively looking for a partner for my company (http://blog.thrivingdesigns.com/2011/12/wanted/), fine tuning server backup scripts, trying out Piwik (so far I like it), and adding features to my home-grown client/invoice management system.
Eric Dye says
Awesome! Growth is scary, but growth is good! Keep it up, man!
Raoul Snyman says
More bugs fixed in OpenLP[0]… I feel like a broken record, but it’s true. We’re a week short of the new release, hoping this one is going to be as awesome as the last 6 were. And with this in mind, fixing bugs is a good thing 🙂
Also, I created a video[1] from a combination of another video and some photos of my son enjoying his ride in The Red Rocket, a scooter and sidecar that my father-in-law borrowed while we were visiting them in Arizona.
P.S. Sounds like I got a job, just waiting for the offer and the contract to come through!

WOOT! Hope the contract comes through!

I’m trying to come up with a value proposition for my new blog about online evangelism. Which tagline would appeal more to you in regards to why you should spread the Gospel online:
1) Receive rewards in heaven for sharing the Gospel online
2) Receive rewards in heaven for sharing Jesus online
3) Give people a chance to go to heaven by sharing the Gospel online
4) Give people a chance to go to heaven by sharing Jesus online
5) Win souls for Christ online, get rewarded in heaven
Which do you like the best? http://notashamedofthegospel.com
Becky says
I like #3 or #5 the best.
Peter says
Thank you Becky for that feedback, I’m still playing around with it and more importantly praying about it. Your opinion matters a lot, thanks for that 🙂
Raoul Snyman says
I would go for #4. We shouldn’t be sharing Jesus just to get a reward. We should be sharing Jesus because it is what he commanded us to do.
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:16-20 ESV
Peter says
Thank you Raoul for bringing up that point. I do think that most Christians would probably be motivated to share the gospel online out of love and compassion more than out of a reward just like you are saying. Nevertheless, some people are motivated by the reward and so I’m just trying to find out what appeals most to people.
I think most Christians just want to love their neighbor and want to see them saved.
Peter says
I came up with 3 more, which tagline do you like best for a blog about online evangelism?
6) Reach the lost by sharing the Gospel online
7) Reach the lost by sharing Jesus online
8) Fulfill the great commission by sharing Jesus online
Raoul Snyman says
Having said what I said previously, I would choose number 7 😉
Eric Dye says
I love all of this. Kicking around ideas and everything. Very cool, guys!
Eric Dye says
You could play off of “Share” —
Share the Gospel
Share Jesus
Share Love
Share Eternity
Or even a combination of these.
Just kickin’ around some ideas.

This week I wrote some updates on my crazy life and some of what I realised while talking to strangers http://www.joannamuses.com/2011/12/summer-adventures-update.html

I’ve been working on song slides for tomorrow and finding great Christmas stills to use with them, reading this blog and others and downloading free stuff. Serving at Church Online, thinking about scheduling some posts for social networking, and hoping we have snow next Sunday. Those are a few of the things I’ve been up to recently. Looking forward to reading what everyone else says!
Eric Dye says
😀
You’re awesome.
I hope it snows, too!
James Cooper says
I carried on in my Christmas styley with a new Christmas site (see the post about relaxing snow!), answered lots of questions from my main christmas site (nearly 1.5 million pageloads this week!) and…
I made yet more Christmas Ukulele videos! http://youtube.com/whychristmas
