Last week, we kicked-off the first Saturday Sunday Share and many of you shared some great stuff!
So, what’s the Saturday-Sunday Share?
The Saturday-Sunday Share is a place for you to share your work, and it can include anything from code to creative. If it’s a category on ChurchMag, and it’s your work, this is the place to share it!
You can encourage, inspire, and if you want, ask for some critiques.
Simply drop-off your URL, and description as necessary, and we will all come take a look.
If you visit someone’s piece of work, be sure to leave a comment for them to.
Now, show us what you’ve got!

Doesn’t exactly fit the categories, but this week I’ve mostly been working on content. Been doing some writing on the importance of the gospel (http://www.joannamuses.com/2011/06/moving-on-from-gospel.html) and a bit of book reviewing.
Eric Dye says
We do! We have both a Blogging and Writing category. Awesome!
Marcus Williamson says
Some solid points in your post Joanna. It’s something we know we should do but something we don’t do more often ya know. It’s easy to be one and done, but we gotta keep getting back to the core constantly yeah.

Last week I mentioned I was playing with a html5 wp theme. Well it’s done and up here: http://demochurch.org.uk/
It’s also responsive using ‘adapt’ by Nathan Smith.
The calendar on there is my Church’s google cal and the sermons audio are from my Church (with me doing in the intro/outros!). One page of the sermons uses the ‘powerpress’ plugin and some use ‘buzzsprout’ (a great podcasting service I’ve been playing with). The ppt use ‘authorstream’ which is like slideshare only with a nicer interface!
Check out the Elders and Deacons on the ‘about’ page – they’re pretty cool!
Jared Erickson says
pretty cool man, you do it all from scratch?
James Cooper says
Yes, all from scratch. The theme is based on the one I made for my Church a couple of years ago: http://minehead-baptist.com (I made all that one as well and plan to put adapt/html5 elements into it…)
Eric Dye says
I’m so impressed!
I love the flex, Bro. Total win, for sure.
… and from scratch, too! When are you going to write some Code posts for ChurchMag!?!
Jay Caruso says
That is great!
But Kirk over Picard? I don’t know about that. 🙂
Marcus Williamson says
Dude. Peter Parker as an Elder. Sold 🙂
Jay Caruso says
Was at the beach about 2 weeks ago and grabbed this image of a woman jogging when the sun was setting. The bird flying into the frame was all luck, but I’ll take it.

Jared Erickson says
nice shot dude!
Eric Dye says
You’re such a pro.
PJ says
That IS a cool shot!
Marcus Williamson says
Legit
Stacey L Barr says
Great shot! The bird is all win too. That would make for a great backdrop to a summer series splash.
Marcus Williamson says
Worked on some wallpaper action last night: http://marcuswilliamson.com/wallpaper-movement
Eric Dye says
Legit!
I think we need to have a ChurchMag wallpaper contest, what do you think?
Marcus Williamson says
Let’s do it man
Eric Dye says
😀
Stacey L Barr says
Here’s a testimony/baptism video that’s been my project for the past couple weeks. What makes it special is she is the first baptism for our new campus launched on Easter. Excluding the day we did the shoot, I’m guessing I have 18-22 hours in it.
Stacey L Barr says
Oops, forgot the URL http://vimeo.com/user3095472/becka-rome-baptism-video
Eric Dye says
Great job!
Another idea for a ChurchMag contest …. hmmmm …
Stacey L Barr says
Thanks Eric! Why not do a contest? Part of it could be including a quick blurb about how you set up any special effects or shots that made it extra special. If nothing else, it would give us a great chance to compare notes and pick up fresh inspiration from each other.
Eric Dye says
For sure.
I’ll add it to my contest list ideas 😉
Marcus Williamson says
Great video man! Always love baptism vids 🙂
Stacey L Barr says
Thanks! I love doing stuff like this and the chance it gives to reach out.
Tyler Hess says
I don’t know how this works, but I write about music and my biggest write up this week is a review of the new album from Falling Up.

Eric Dye says
Okay. Now I have to go check these guys out and give’em a listen. 🙂
Great job, Tyler!

For the last few weeks, I’ve been working on a weekly video intro humor piece for our summer series, “Superheroes of the Bible.” We’re taking a look at different bible characters and how their faith in God is what matters.
Anyway, to introduce each week, we’ve had a recurring character named Average Joe trying to learn what it means to be a hero. Let’s just say that he’s having mixed results.
These are some of the more involved shoots and production I’ve had a chance to do, but them seem to turing out well. Would love to hear your thoughts. Enjoy!

Eric Dye says
Thanks for sharing, this is great!
James Cooper says
Great videos! Reminds me of that cool VW Darth Vader ad!
Stacey L Barr says
That’s some awesome stuff! I especially liked the Monty Python music for the intro and the Master in the black suit.
Chris Gambill says
Thanks for all the kind comments. There will be three more episodes to come.
Eric Dye says
Be sure to share them with us!
Kevin J. Farmer says
I am by no means really on the level of Churchmag but here they are.
I recently completed a degree from Full Sail Univ. in Education media. I am a high school teacher and active in our church. I don’t know where this is going but I am having fun with it.
Eric Dye says
That’s awesome!
