As I study another language and see how non-native English speakers wrangle the English language, I now realize just how confusing the English language can be.
There are rules, but there seems to be an exception for every one of them.

Yeah. We can totally relate. My wife who’s a second grade ESL teacher lets me know the struggle her students go through to learn english because the rules many times do not make sense.
