Praying Otter Thumb

The Praying Otter

So many times the greatest photos happen because of one thing.

You can have the camera, gear and skill, but sometimes it really comes down to timing.

This “once in a lifetime” photograph taken by photographer Marac Andrev Kolodzinski, waited patently in freezing cold weather at the Whipsnade Zoo in England.

Marac, 49, from Herefordshire, has been taking photos for over 20 years but this is the first time he has captured an otter who appears to be praying.

Or maybe it doesn’t have anything to do with timing?

The photographer says,

“You don’t get those snaps by chance, I had to keep wandering around keeping watch on what was going on, waiting for the right time.”

What do you think?
