Pray-As-You-Go is a daily prayer podcast produced by Jesuit Media Initiatives, a group of Jesuits in Britain. Pray-As-You-Go combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection in a new, ten-minute prayer session every day.
There’s an episode for each weekday and a single weekend podcast which brings together the thoughts of the previous week.
From the Pray-As-You-Go website:
Pray-as-you-go is a daily prayer session, designed for use on portable MP3 players, to help you pray whilst travelling to and from work, study, etc.
A new prayer session is produced every day. It is not a ‘Thought for the Day’, a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer.
Lasting between ten and thirteen minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection.
The music played is pretty wide ranging from Gregorian Chants and ‘early music’, through to modern worship tracks and songs performs by various Christian groups around the world (including the Taizé community, Margaret Rizza and Ladysmith Black Mambazo). If you like what you hear, the website tells you what was played on each day with links on how to purchase the music.
I come from a Baptist background, but find these reflections really helpful and great way to start the day.
You can either subscribe to the podcast or download the files in WMA or MP3 format at the Pray-As-You-Go website.
Are there any other great prayer/devotional podcasts you can recommend?

I haven’t used any prayer podcasts before but there is a few devotional ones I like.
Drive Time Devotions (http://www.drivetimedevotions.com/) goes through books of the bible, a few verses a day. The episodes are usually 10-15 minutes long. Despite going through the material relatively slowly, they are still an interesting listen with lots of good application points. I’m almost done listening to the Philippians series which has been helpful.
I also like A Different Perspective. (http://www.christianityworks.com/pages/adp/). These are 10 minute long devotionals, sometimes going through books of the bible and sometimes topical series. The current series is going through the book of Ruth.

Thanks for those Joanna. I often listen to A Different Perspective on a Christian radio station here in the UK: http://ucbmedia.co.uk – great to know you can podcast it as well!

I just want to second what you have to say here. I’ve been listening to Pray As You Go for a little over 3 months now. Good stuff.
