I’ve had my Kindle for about a year now, and really enjoy reading with it. Lately, however, I’ve found that I’m enjoying reading paper much more. The media is portraying eBooks to be the way of the future, making paper books obsolete in the very near future, but I’m not sure that I completely agree with that. Here’s why:

As pictured in this infographic, The History of Portable Music, we can see that what once was dominated by Sony, is now dominated by Apple.
Back in the day, “Walkman” was the default term for any portable music player, whereas now, many people generically refer to portable mp3 players as an “iPod.”
Sony was able to continue its dominance as technology transitioned from cassette to CD, but when the jump from physical media to virtual came, Apple took the Pole Position and never looked back:
So, you’ve upgraded to Lion now and you’ve got a snazzy new Mail.app to manage all of your email addresses. I must say, Mail in Lion is quite a major improvement over Snow Leopard, and offers a lot of the features users were asking for.
It’s UI is very similar to the iPad Mail app, which many folks swear by. But, what if you’re a heavy Gmail user, like me, and need some of the features that Gmail offers that just aren’t included in Mail?
