North Point’s InsideOut Students Re-Launches – Built on WordPress MU

insideoutstudents_com

North Point has recently relaunched their High School Ministry’s website here at InsideOutStudents.org.

One of the coolest things about it is that it’s built on the WordPress-MU framework which will provide the ministry with the ability to customize the look on a per-campus level as well as provide them near unlimited flexibility with updating content and management.

And since it’s WordPress that means that it’s “free” (or at least the software). How about that?

I see more and more churches and organizations taking a serious look at WordPress and WordPress-MU for their website needs.

Congrats team on a job well done: April, Russell, Chip, Wayne, Kevin, etc…!

We're getting a new youth director soon and as you may know from some of my previous comments… we're going to be launching a new website in 2010. I'm seriously considering WordPress-MU for much of it based off of the blog posts you've written about it. I just hope my church is on the same page. I'm going to have to sell the kitty's litterbox out of it! ;)

    Hey John,

Curious about the MU version of wordpress.  I am getting ready to create a website for our youth and have had a rough time thinking of the layout since we have multiple campuses.  It seems like I could have 3 different sites for our 3 different campuses but update all three at the same time for things that need to be updated at the same time?

Is that the power behind MU?

    Any help would be appreciated.

yes, you could centrally manage multiple sites like that. take a look at
what we did for our childrens ministry:

[...] If you’re not already aware, WordPress-MU is a Multi-User version of WordPress, and a number of ministries are already leveraging it effectively to manage their sites, like Inside North Point and North Point’s InsideOut Students site. [...]
