North Point Online Launches New Look

North Point Community Church has launched a new look look to their Online Community and Experience at NorthPointOnline.tv!

I personally have had a blast working with the team internally (Brad, Micah, Jason, Scott, Julie, and the entire Web Team) and externally (Eyespeak!) and I think we’ve come up with something sweet.

There’s a lot that I could share about the experience but you’re going to have to check it out for yourself on Sundays:

  • Live at 11:00am Eastern
  • Re-Broadcast at 6:00pm Eastern

But, here’s one of my favorite features:

There’s a neat “dim” and “brighten” feature where we turn the lights down a bit.

Love it.

I caught a few minutes of the 11:00 broadcast yesterday but I didn’t have a chance to explore the player completely. My first impression was great thought! I really love the lighted buttons on the site.

Looks pretty sweet. Does the background lighting match the color of the video, like in that HTML5 demo you posted a few weeks back, John?

I noticed the new look yesterday, too.

Kept getting a MySQL error before the 11am service, but after several refreshes it eventually loaded up and I caught the service.

NPOnline has become part of our regular Sunday evening. Tami works on lesson plans for the week and I work on weekly reports that are due first thing every Monday morning. It is interesting to listen to a service a second time. (Different music now that the filming is at NP) I am not concentrating on the sermon as much since I am also working, but I almost always hear something I missed the first time around.

Very beautiful and clean design. Love the dim feature also! Do you happen to know who they use as their service provider for live streaming?
