I struggle with the same thing in ministry… sometimes you just can’t charge… can you?

If it wasn’t for my family, I wouldn’t have been able to pursue half the things I have. Helping them is how I can repay the favor in one small way.
Nope and my sister in law struggles with the same thing being a professional photographer.
Carry around a tip jar
I had a boss at my old place of work that never did anything for anybody for free. Family members got a discount though of £25ph.
Me, I never charge for nothing. I take delight in the service as payment.
This is part of the reason I love open source software, the community. Part of open source culture is joining the community of that project. And the beauty of it is that you’re never alone and there’s almost always lots of people ready to help even the noobie-est user. Obviously, proprietary software also has forums and user groups. But because open source is built on community, I find their groups many times much more helpful and supportive no matter how many times you come back with a dumb question.

I rarely charge because I’m not strong enough to ask. But mostly I just say I’m too busy… which isn’t a lie.
