Have you ever looked at a logo?
I mean really looked at a logo?
When you’re designing and creating logos and other designs, you become very intimate with what you’re working on, as you painstakingly go over each and every line, curve and bend. That’s where design gets difficult. Even the most basic designs is full of creative decisions.
That’s why I love this project by Andrew Wendling:
Make the Logo Bigger
Make the Logo Bigger is simple in scope.
It’s a Tumblr blog that’s filled with HUGE logos that you quickly recognize by only seeing a fraction of the whole logo. This highlights the power of branding. You don’t even need to see the whole thing and your brain fills in the blanks.
But from a design perspective, it forces you to focus on the details and gives a glimpse and some of the creative decisions that had to be made in these iconic brands.
