Stop being responsible. Seriously. You might want to limit being “analytical” or “driven” and definitely not “organizational.” If you must, use those terms on Facebook.

LinkedIn just released is list of most used descriptive buzz terms. The words were compiled by scanning the profiles of Linkedin’s 250+ million members and the resulting list (and accompanying infographic) give some insight to what terms we tend to use — and overuse — to describe ourselves.
A couple of takeaways:
- The list is slightly different from when we looked at it last year.
- “Creative” is still a popular buzz term.
- People are really, really “responsible.”

- Creative

- Patient
- Expert
- Organizational
- Driven
- Innovative
- Analytical
It does open up dialogue with regards to standing out from the crowd.
But, to be fair, how far out of the box do you really want to go?
How would a recruiter view, say, effervescent” as a descriptive term?
