Learn to build websites, create iPhone and Android apps, code with Ruby on Rails and PHP using step by step videos that will advance your skills. Companies such as Twitter, Square and Disney use Treehouse to teach their staff.
2. Code School
Code School teaches web technologies in the comfort of your browser with video lessons, coding challenges, and screencasts. Their brilliantly themed lessons make learning even greater fun.
3. Codecademy
Learn the basics of coding in various languages including JavaScript, Python, Ruby as well as Web Fundamentals. You don’t have to learn alone, the platform allows friends to help each other develop.
4. Mozzila’s School of Webcraft
In School of Webcraft you can earn badges backed by Mozilla, that highlight your technical and community skills. Again this is great way to collaborate with friends in learning new skills.
5. Udacity on Web Development
Starting from the basics of how the web works, this class will walk you through everything you need to know to build your own blog application and scale it to support large numbers of users.
6. Google’s Developers University Consortium
A range of learning material is collected and shared by Google to inspire and encourage web development education. Why not take advantage of it?
