Last week I posted a quick tip to get things done and Andrew Fallows dropped some helpful comment love about a cross-platform app launcher. Much like a simple version of Alfred for OS X, Launchy is a cross-platform app launcher for Mac, Windows and Linux.
And for Windows users, there are a number of plugins that can be added that gives it some similar functionality that Alfred has—like system power, calculator and so on.
Check it ou:
Launchy
- Launch programs and perform actions with just a few keystrokes.
- Open documents, files, and folders.
- Add plugins to provide more functionality.
If you’re a Windows user who wishes to have an Alfred kind of app launcher, this is it!
Do you use an app launcher in Windows? What do you like to use?
Download Launchy, and if you like it, be sure to drop the developer a some bucks. 🙂
