We do this all the time.
We ignore kids because … we’re the adults.
We have the good ideas, after all.
We have the answers, right?
No, not always.
I read a news story this past week, about a 16-year old German teen who solved Sir Isaac Newton’s 300-plus-year-old mathematical riddle.
Did you get that?
I’m afraid of how many times we have overlooked and ignored our youth in the Church. We’ve talked about before on ChurchMag, but I think it’s always good to re-remind ourselves the amazing and awesome roll the youth can play in Church technology.
- There is usually a natural draw towards it.
- They often already know how to use it.
- Most have an increased aptitude for it.
- Anything beats just sitting in church.
- More? Probably.
You get the idea, though.
One of our biggest pools for volunteers in Church tech is youth.

But seriously. Take a fresh look at those around you, despite their age, and you may find a rich volunteer force all around you.
